[Intermediate & Advanced Classes in Papanui, Christchurch]
Saturday Intermediate & Advanced classes and Monday Advanced class are the classes focused more on performance and taking their technique level higher. In these classes, most students prefer to get costumes and set their goals to perform the class choreography for school's hafla. Regular attendance and commitment are expected for these Intermediate and Advanced classes.
INTERMEDIATE CLASS (Saturday 1pm-2pm /Papanui)
In this class, students will learn chiffon veil & non-veil choreographies(Classical /contemporary) , new techinque and extension of basic technique, layered moves to get students ready for the next level choreography(Level 3).
Students are also introduced to three basic Egyptian rhythms (maqsoum family). There are performance oppotunities for students who wish to perform for the school's haflas.
Term 1 2012 class topic: Level 3 technique (new mevements, undulation, footworks, new combos, layerd shimmy drills)
SATURDAY ADVANCED CLASS(Saturday 2pm-3pm/Papanui)
The class covers choreographies (organza veil / zills /drum solo / Isis wing/ Classical Egyptian/ Modern Egyptian / Oriental-flamenco fusion with double skirts) and level 3 & 4 technique, introduction for solo work and more depth of Middle Eastern rhythm and music study.
Term 1 2012 class topic: Level 3 & 4 Technique and combos include veil and zills
MONDAY ADVANCED CLASS (Monday 9:30am-10:30am/Papanui)
The class covers choreographies (organza veil / zills /drum solo / Isis wing/ Classical Egyptian/ Modern Egyptian / Oriental-flamenco fusion with double skirts) and level 3 & 4 technique, introduction for solo work and more depth of Middle Eastern rhythm and music study.
